Agustin Vargas

Architect – Artist – Instructor

 

Architect by UNAM (National Autonomous University of Mexico) fallowing his interest in art, especially paint, He takes painting lessons at Art-Academy of San Carlos and The Art-National Fine Arts Institute of Mexico City, Mexico, where develops his extraordinary artistic abilities.

 

Since 1985 he has made numerous exhibitions in Mexico and the United States, where shows his fascination with nature, proportions, philosophy, and life. This facility has allowed him to obtain honorable mentions, especially in the watercolor technique.

 

Agustin Vargas's work transports us to alternate realities, where we get captivated by the subtleties of colors, forms, brush strokes, and the artist's imagination. The golden section and architectural designs underline his paintings' compositions.   Vargas captures deeply personal and emotional stories, intertwining past, present, alchemy, philosophy, pain, love, and hope in his expressive paintings.

 

He is Arizona Guild, National Watercolor Society Member, and Honorary Member Watercolor Association of Morelos State, Mexico (President 1998).

 

Currently, he combines his work at Xico, Inc., Teaching, and  Painting.
